QuarkChain Participated In The 17th China Scientists Forum, Exploring The Future Development of Blockchain With Domestic Scientists
The 20th Cloud Summit of the 17th Chinese Scientists Forum, which focused on distribution storage opportunities and innovation development, was held on the afternoon of November 15th, 2020. The summit was hosted and supported by Chinese Scientists Forum Organizing Committee, Business School of Chinese Management Science Academy, and Discovery Magazine, IPFS Drop, and Beijing Matou.org. Gui Chen, Dean of Business School of Chinese Management Science Academy, President of Discovery Magazine, and Chairman of the Chinese Scientists Forum, had a keynote speech. Hongyan Luan from Beijing Matou.org, Executive Dean of Business School of Chinese Management Science Academy, Secretary-General of the Chinese Scientists Forum, also gave a speech. QuarkChain scientist Professor Yaodong Yang attended the forum and gave a speech.
The Chinese Scientists Forum was named by the famous scientist Guangzhao Zhou, Vice Chairman of National People’s Congress Committee and Chairman of Chinese Science and Technology Association. Since its establishment in 2002, the Chinese Scientists Forum has received strong support from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Chinese Science and Technology Association, the National Natural Science Foundation, etc. It has become the most influential platform in China’s science and technology community. With the expandation of the forum’s scale, level, quality, and influence year by year, it has become a national technology brand activity with high participation, wide coverage, and great social influence by government, industry, academia and research. It has become a driving force for the development of China’s science and technology industry.
QuarkChain scientist Professor Yaodong Yang shared a speech named “Scalability of Blockchain Technology: Current Challenges and Opportunities Faced by Blockchain”. He introduced the huge potentials of blockchain technologies in the future digital economy and 5G applications to all the attendees. He took the QuarkChain as an example, to explain the problems that prevented the large-scale application of blockchain technology. Professor Yang mentioned that the development of blockchain technology needs to be closely integrated with new infrastructure, digital economy and the industrial Internet to generate great value. The current top public chain platforms have insufficient concurrent processing performance, and only sharding technology can match the requirement. At present, QuarkChain has been able to increase the TPS to 1 million. The application of sharding technology can also make the network more flexible. Different shards can apply different consensus mechanisms, ledgers, virtual machines, and token economics. This makes the entire network more tolerant, and allows all different technologies to exist and communicate with each other.
The summit was a complete success. The organizers of the forum discussed whether the summit model can be normalized and organized regularly and irregularly. Muyun Bai, CMO of Shanghai Peer-to-Peer Technology Co., Ltd., Hongwei Qian, Technical Director of Ping An Group, Wenqi Zhao, senior researcher of Huobi Technology Research Institute, and Ying Gu, former Director of Marketing and Copyright of SMG Oriental Entertainment Group, also participated in the forum and gave speeches.
