The inspiration:
Listening To the Art of Nature
Hempstead’s on a quest
To Find true connection to
The earth through his ears
Wild, beautiful, and
Natural sonic soundscape
True sound-rich places
Demand attention
Command a human presence —
Appreciation
We are born astute
But lose that sense as we age
Our busy lives and
The stress of our work
Destroys this skill that we have
Harsh reality
Go on a journey
Visit natural places
Find one that you love
Listen to that one
Pacific wren is singing
Encore performance
It is a sort of
Acoustic meditation
That sometimes reveals
Surprising moments
Meaningful connections we
Can’t take for granted
But there’s a sweet truth
Discovering heritage
Life is beautiful!
