Quasar overview: stkOSMO/OSMO
Introducing Quasar’s Newest Vault: stkOSMO/OSMO Dynamic S+
Let’s first figure out what Concentrated Liquidity vaults are. stkOSMO/OSMO Dynamic S+ Vault, along with all Quasar CL Vaults, are non-custodial solutions built on the Osmosis blockchain, employing the outpost architecture. These vaults offer an unparalleled method for managing liquidity shares with ease. The standout feature of CL Vaults is their capacity for automatic position rebalancing, leveraging external data from Define Logic Labs (DLL). This enables an optimized liquidity strategy for passive management, enhancing yields by making the liquidity provided more effective. It represents a significant advantage for participants in the Cosmos ecosystem.
Previously, we introduced three primary CL Vault strategies: Stable Plus (S+), Aggressive Plus (A+), and Moderate Plus (M+). Notably, stkOSMO/OSMO is categorized under the Stable Plus (S+) strategy, which focuses on maintaining a stable delta between two assets.
Here are the steps to engage with the vault. By following instructions, users can prepare stkOSMO and OSMO in their Osmosis wallets for seamless participation in Quasar’s Concentrated Liquidity Vaults.
Acquiring OSMO:
- Centralized Exchanges (CEX): Users can buy OSMO from any supported Centralized Exchange. Following this, they can move to the subsequent step.
- Deposit to Osmosis: Securing OSMO from a CEX allows for its deposit into Osmosis.
- Purchase on Osmosis DEX: The easiest way is to purchase OSMO directly on the Osmosis Decentralized Exchange.
Acquiring stkOSMO:
- Purchasing on Osmosis DEX: stkOSMO is readily purchasable on the Osmosis Decentralized Exchange, eliminating the need for minting and bridging.
- Minting via native pSTAKE interface: Additionally, users can mint stkOSMO through the pSTAKE interface by liquid staking their OSMO and then transferring stkOSMO to their Osmosis wallet. Follow this guide to mint stkOSMO on pSTAKE.
- Deposit to Osmosis. If users wish to choose minting stkOSMO via pSTAKE interface, they need to send it to Osmosis afterwards. They can use the native Osmosis DEX interface to do so. Just go to https://app.osmosis.zone/assets, search stkOSMO and click on “Deposit”. Connect your wallet and follow the next steps.
Congratulations, you’ve reached the most thrilling section — how to deposit into the Quasar stkOSMO/OSMO Dynamic S+ Vault? There are two simple methods:
Option 1: Direct Deposit on Quasar.
- Visit https://app.quasar.fi/vault/stkosmo-osmo-dynamic-s
- Connect your wallet. We support Keplr, Leap, Metamask, WalletConnect, and Cosmostation wallets.
3. Hit the deposit button. Given the vault’s dynamic nature, the required ratio of stkOSMO to OSMO changes, so the deposit amounts vary.
4. Confirm the transaction. Relax, and let the vault manage your position for optimal results.
Option 2: Deposit via Osmosis DEX.
- Go to https://app.osmosis.zone/pool/1323
- Click “Create a position.”
3. Select the left option.
4. Finalize your selection by signing a transaction. Relax, and let the vault maintain your optimal position.
Conclusion
In synergy with Quasar’s stkOSMO vault, Osmosis concentrated liquidity pools play a pivotal role in utilizing liquid-staked OSMO by pSTAKE as a strong collateral form within the Cosmos DeFi ecosystem. This setup ensures smooth transitions between stkOSMO and OSMO, minimizes slippage, and offers users both security and flexibility for effective DeFi engagement.
