We are glad you’re here, reading our first publication — a little introduction about who we are, what we do and why we are here.

This is an initiative to share our thoughts, learning, perspectives, stories, and much more with the broader community of design enthusiasts.

We, at Qubole, are focused on delivering world-class experience in making data-driven insights easily accessible for anyone. And as the team of designers responsible for delivering such an experience for our users, we are extremely passionate about what we do!

About the Initiative

Who’ll be writing?

You may have already guessed this from the title — Designers from Qubole! We come with diverse backgrounds, working together to make a large enterprise product a consistent whole.

What can you expect to read from us?

We will pick from our day-to-day design experiences, covering vast areas of designing for enterprises. You’ll get a sneak peak of our perspectives and behind the scenes of the projects we are working on. (And also the celebrations that come along!)

Yep, we’ll be honest about all of this.

Why are we doing this?

This is one of many other ways we are looking to invest in sharing our learnings and experiences in our Qubole design journey with the broader design community and hear back from you. So we learn from each other.

The team

We are a team of four designers (small, we know 😁), working in an organization largely driven by engineers, on a product that comes with a legacy of developments at various stages of its growth. Now doesn’t that sound like there’s a lot of scope for designers to put their skills into action? There is! And the scale is bigger than any of us imagined.

With that said, you must now have a glimpse into the kind of drills we go through on a daily basis — bringing the design culture and design awareness up to a standard such that our voices are heard across the organization.

This is one among many other challenges we love to tackle. We’ll be talking more about them in our future posts.
