A Gift Freely Given

must be freely received. . . a simple poem

When one creates from the soul
and gives that creation as a gift
. . . a gift of inspired poetic music

— if it is not freely accepted
on the basis of which it is offered

it ceases to be the inspired creation
that originated from the soul

. . . for the soul will have lost its wings
to soar to the heights of its own divine being.

This simple little poem was inspired by an actual event
that - through inner reflection - has brought forth this
insight of a sad reality.

If you have ever received the disappointment of offering
a poem or song from the depths of your soul to someone
who you were certain would share the same love for it—
but instead it was received with a hesitant acceptance

. . . then indeed you know exactly that of which I speak!

The joy of giving

actually comes from

unquestioning and

truly grateful receiving!

Thank you for reading . . . and understanding!
