All Words Matter

The poet uses words to order chaos. All words matter. Where you place them, what you leave out, important. “I don’t like poetry”, to me, is like saying, “I don’t like food. Or air. Or the sun.” Poems provide a nourishment for the soul, we can’t afford to turn away from.

A world without words becomes a world without feeling, becomes a world without compassion, becomes a world without meaning, becomes a world without wonder. Only hate can survive in such bleakness.
