There is very little in Life that is more of a manipulation of the Human spirit than using the words honor or duty. Especially when that manipulation purposefully leads us to disrespect ourselves — our inner knowing.

Through all of Human history, we have been dishonored and misled away from our truths. Powerful individuals and institutions plant the seeds early in our educations — so we never question their visions for our Life.

We willingly become disloyal to ourselves as we bend to their will and morph ourselves into the forms they demand.

Square hole — round peg? No problem. Pound it hard enough — it will fit.

The problem with this approach is the peg no longer remotely resembles what it really is. It’s splintered and jammed and shattered in places. Broken until it finally conforms.

The over-culture will tell us it is our duty to become complacent, obedient citizens. It is with honor that we serve the greater good — as defined by those running the place.

Well — fuck that.

Ask any middle-aged woman and you will find her anything BUT loyal to the status quo. The Crone arrives in the nick of time to save the world. And she starts by saving herself.
