What we tolerate persists
I have zero bandwidth for hate any more. ZERO.
And what Humans don’t understand is that everyone believes They are The Avenging Angel sent to save us. Not so much. Both sides are fanning the flames of hate.
I am no fan of the current administration — believe me. And let me be clear on this — it is NOT their fault our country has sunk to this current level of chaos. That belongs entirely to us. The Humans who allow ourselves to be manipulated — again by BOTH sides — by our fear and angst.
I’m tired of losing Humans over this shit. I’m tired of mudslinging. I’m tired of each side thinking they have the high moral ground somehow.
It’s politics. No One’s hands are clean.
Read that last sentence again.
When we first entered lockdown, it became clear to me that there was too much chaos ‘Out There’. All. The. Humans. were enjoying this a little too much. All their old hurts and injustices — traumas and pain — were being turned loose and stirred into the mess.
I had to stop following a nurse’s forum on how my profession was responding to the pandemic because it became too painful to read. The stories needed to be told — it was the fear which seeps through every sentence — sometimes hate — which…
