Ode to My Beloved

. . . a heartfelt poem

My husband was a quiet and gentle soul
with a heart full of love that did overflow.

Always with strength and courage possessed,
his protective nature for me was professed.

To share all my emotions he desired of me
— yet to me his own remained a mystery.

The weak and the needy he did love to help
… as in service to others he gave of himself.

Inherent in his being were pure spiritual qualities
of the Sacred Feminine in male balance equality.

But greatest of all was our deep communication
that was truly like climbing a ladder to Heaven!
