A desert kind of day.
Going through the motions –
tasks milling like feet treading
one hill after another,
but the view doesn’t change.

Seconds as sand diamonds –
rippled straits and dunes prismed.
In the heat, swirling storms
of white noise,
dark-mattered chatter
crusting

all facets of the very same cellular
diamonds within you.
Planes lifting like Hope,
soft cleansing currents heatedly seeking
Insight’s probing kiss.

Until the sun cries, Enough!
And there, where
the longest, un-forked lightning tongue
leads me,
I find the lost binky on the branch,

a pearl for my heart
to box and gift to you —
clammed atriums and knotholes pacified,
spilling Light.
