2017. We have more stuff to watch now than we can ever watch in a lifetime. Torrent, streaming services, and Jio have helped usher a new trend called binge-watching where you can’t stop watching a TV show until you watch each episode of all 20 seasons. This blends nicely with another popular trend in Indian engineering colleges: unemployment.

We have high-speed internet connections, supercomputers in our pockets and what do we use them for? Binge-watching. Evolution surely took a misstep. Time is precious. There’s only so much you could do in a lifetime.

I have compiled a list of 11 YouTube channels that will make you smart, really smart.

1.The School of Life: If you’re having an existential crisis or you are curious enough to ask the bigger questions of life then this is the channel for you. From analyzing works of philosophers to answering questions like “why clothes matter?”–– they do it all.
Also, their animation game is 🔥.

2. Vox: Sometimes they deconstruct Kanye’s music and sometimes they teach us Beard Economics like it’s more serious than climate change. They also make thought-provoking, unbiased(?) political videos with top-notch production quality.

3. Veritasium: The man behind this great channel Veritasium is Dr. Derek Muller, a physicist who loves to talk about some of the most amazing scientific phenomena behind very simple things in the world.

I never realized how round could an object be until I saw Derek showing off the world’s roundest object (football is now my second favourite round object).

If you ever sit alone(you do) and think about things like “Do robots deserve rights if they become conscious?” or “What if I had a Black Hole in my pocket?” then you are in the right place. Their animations are orgasmic and you just won’t get enough of it.
