Give Hope Today
This is a special time of year for the Church of the Larger Fellowship and for millions of people around the world. As you enter the holiday season, we hope that you will consider CLF for your charitable giving. Every amount counts and makes an immense difference in the programs and services we can offer. You know firsthand the important role that CLF plays in the life of over 3,000 members world-wide.
Timmothy, a CLF member in prison, writes:
My life is filled with much sorrow. Sorrow over what I went through as a child. Sorrow over the choices I made in life. Sorrow that one of my choices resulted in a man losing his life. Sorrow for the loneliness I live with daily in prison. But there is joy as well.The Joy of a wonderful friend Amanda, who writes me through the pen pal program. The joy of finding a home church who accepts me for who I am, weird beliefs and all. The joy if self discovery, realizing that contrary to the lies told to me as a child — I am Worthy of Love.
Timmothy, and those like him, need all our support today to build up joy, love and hope.
100% of our budget is met through the generosity of donors just like you. Did you know that of the over 3,000 CLF members, nearly 900 are incarcerated, and rely on us to receive pastoral care and support. It costs the CLF $150 to provide services to just one incarcerated member. This means, that each year, we need to turn to our most generous supporters to raise the necessary funds to sustain and grow this life saving program.
This week, we are asking you to renew your support with a gift of $25 or more, to help us reach our end of year goal. Your support will go toward an amazing ministry that provides:
- Pastoral care
- Access to UU publications such as UU World, Quest Monthly, books from Skinner House and Beacon Press
- A penpal program that provides a link to the freeworld and to Unitarian Univeralism
- Training for our community through the Worthy Now Ambassador program
