Raven & Liam’s Birthday Party at Fun Ranch (February 13, 2016)

We were invited to a children’s party last Feb 13. It was Raven and Liam’s joint birthday bash at Fun Ranch near Tiendesitas. Raven and Liam are the kids of Rhea and Larry. They are based in California and it has been a while since they last visited the Philippines. Raven is Shiela’s goddaughter and she was one of the flower girls in our wedding.

Since we were going to a children’s party, we thought of bringing someone that would definitely enjoy it. So we brought my nephew Matt to the party and he was pretty excited.

Matt’s first day out with Aku and Akim

Traffic was a bit crazy this Valentines weekend but Matt surely didn’t mind at all. He was busy taking car selfies with Shiela, singing songs and opening windows at the back seat.

It was our first time to go to Fun Ranch and we didn’t really know what to expect. There were event “halls” in the red barn where parties are held and it seemed like these halls were full with different parties all going on at the same time. Saying that there were a lot of kids there is an understatement.

The party started a bit late because we waited for other guests to arrive but it didn’t really matter to the kids. There was a photo booth, a ice cream cart, face painting area that kept them busy while we were waiting.

Matt really enjoyed getting a Minions “Tattoo” from the face painting artist who looks like he’s been doing tattoos on grown men in prison. We made Matt choose what design he wanted to have and where he wanted it done. The kid knows what he wants and he sat really still when it was his turn. My sister told us that Matt loved that tattoo so much that he was looking for it the next day. (He was also looking for kuya tattoo artist as well hahaha)

The party started and it was all magic and games for the kids. I think Matt (with the help of his yaya) got 2 tickets as a prize for the “Bring Me” games. We later used the tickets to get on some rides after the party.

Here are some highlights of the party!

After the party, they handed out unlimited passes to the kids for access to the play area. Matt was still to young/small to be on his own so I had to be with him in the play area. I realised that it was hard looking after him and try taking pictures at the same time. Maybe I just need a bit more practice but here are some pics of Matt in the play area.

It was a great way to spend our Valentines weekend. Having fun and enjoyable moments with family.
