Are you making sexual health a priority?

If not, you should.

“Sexual health is health. It’s not a separate entity, and it deserves just as much attention as the rest of your body systems,” sexual medicine nurse practitioner Andrea Martin, DNP, CRNP, WHNP, told me. “Sexual health is a fully-integrated part of ourselves, and ignoring it is a mistake.”

To avoid this mistake, Martin suggests getting professional help — including going to sex therapy for relationship problems or a sex medicine practitioner for help with physical issues.

“The possibilities are endless, but sex will never become a priority, and our quality of life will never improve, unless we consciously make sexual health a priority,” she said.
