Not necessarily, according to a survey of 2,000 people by intimate lifestyle products company LELO.

In fact, only 20% of people surveyed said that intercourse is their favorite course on their sexual menu. Instead, many (30%) actually prefer foreplay during a sexual encounter.

Not only do people prefer foreplay, they actually report that intercourse only occurs 53% of the time during their sexual encounters. Instead, lovers are enjoying other intimate activities like kissing (72%) and cuddling (61%). But when they do get to the main course, people say they will spend the most time on it — 18 minutes — compared to how much time they spend kissing (11 minutes) and cuddling (15 minutes).
