In fact, some are so turned off by bad sex that, according to a survey of 2,000 people by Pure Romance, 30% will actually end a budding relationship because of a bad first encounter.

Luckily, a little experimentation can prevent you from getting kicked out of your new partner’s bed for good. And 48% of people turn to sex toys when they do.

But Pure Romance founder and chairwoman Patty Brisben warns the subject should be approached with care.

“Bedroom accessories, especially toys designed for couples, are an incredible way to breathe new life into your relationship,” Brisben said. “If you’re afraid to bring it up in the heat of the moment, have a low-key conversation first to test the waters. You will likely be pleasantly surprised at their answer!”
