Would you accept a sexless relationship?
Since people think about reinvigorating their sex lives, it may sound counterintuitive to desire a relationship with no physical intimacy. However, when Adam & Eve polled 1,000 people, the sex toy company found that 21% (22% men; 20% women) were open to a sexless marriage — where they have sex less than 10 times annually — and 16% (15% men; 17% women) were unsure.
Why?
“There are numerous reasons a sexless marriage may occur including illness, resentment, stress, and boredom,” said Adam & Eve sex expert Dr. Kat Van Kirk. “Lovemaking is an integral part of marriage, and when one partner desires intimacy and the other one does not, oftentimes breakdown occurs.”
