A Declaration Of Contribution

I will make good things happen for other people. For those who are here now and those who come after us. When things get tough and I fall short I will remind myself I can accomplish anything with effort, patience, and resilience - anything.

This isn’t the typical article that I would put here on my personal medium account, so if you don’t like it — that’s fine. It’s not for you anyways. For those of you who are sick and tired of being sick and tired, for those of you who need to generate more sales, more revenue or just…MORE — I’m about to light you up! Together, we’re going to make a deal, you and I… we are going to commit to making good things happen for other people. If you’re in, keep reading ☺

Push Your Luck

The word “Luck” is defined as “success in doing or getting”. I used to say things like “if it wasn’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all.”. Then I found out what LUCK really is. It’s a force that can actually make something happen.

I came to the belief that LUCK could be created. It’s not some random thing that just happens to us. We can create our own luck. This isn’t about karma or some other philosophical junk like that. It’s about YOU (and ME) doing things that generate a better chance of success. It’s about generating your own luck — that force that gives you success in doing or getting.

  • Prepare. Work hard to be ready for the opportunities that are important to you. Research. Practice. Perfect.
  • Be awake. Pay attention to the people, events, and things around you. Evaluate logically and learn to trust your gut instinct.
  • Take action. Put yourself out there. Explore. Be vulnerable. Make contact with people. Take risks.

Expect positive Results. Optimism improves your chances.
If (when) you fail, embrace the lesson and continue on, smarter.

Cross The Line

OK, now that we’ve got the luck part covered, let’s take a look at where you are now vs. where you need to be in order to Make Good Things Happen.

With everything, there’s a line. On one side of the line is a greater chance to make good things happen (better results, better relationships, more opportunities).

On the other side of the line, there’s less of a chance. And with each line, you have a choice. Either you want to cross the line or you don’t. You want that better chance at making good things happen (meaningful things) or you settle with the lesser chance. Your Choice!

The difficult is what takes a little time;
the impossible is what take a little longer.
— Fridtjof Nansen, Norwegian Explorer

Luck is not chance, it’s toil. Fortune’s expensive smile is earned.
- Emily Dickinson, American Poet

The thing that cowardice fears most is decision.
— Soren Kierkegaard, Danish Philosopher & Writer

Making Good Things Happen

Right about now you were probably wondering what luck or crossing the line have to with making good things happen for others…

In order to make good things happen, you have to be in a situation where you have the ability to help others. You need to be able to solve problems rather than having them. You need to be the one who can set the example. You need to be able to care for yourself and create your own luck!

I believe in ultimate truth — I believe that we (humans) need to be able to love and care for ourselves, before we can care for others. So, if you truly want to make good things happen for other people — take the steps you need to take in order to become the best YOU that YOU can be.

Push Your Luck. Cross The Line. Make Good Things Happen.
