MEDIUM PUB CRAWL
Medium Pub Crawl: Thoughts From a Publisher
Belly up to the bar, friends!
Hi Friends!
Boy, it’s been a while since I published in the QuickTalk pub.
This publication always had a piece of my heart. We had a lot of fun here when it was our playground — back in the olden days when The Memoirist was a baby.
QuickTalk was my second publication following The Memoirist. After about a year, I decided to evolve QT into a publication that featured writers and other publications. I built a real-time publication directory and even had a column called Pub Crawl, spotlighting other publications. But enough about Quicktalk.
Let’s talk about Medium’s Pub Crawl.
I took the day off from work for this thing.
I wasn’t going to and fretted about not getting online until after work, but I was intrigued. I loved the idea. And once I got the invite to be part of the morning’s Publishers Panel Discussion, the deal was sealed. I put in for a vacation day.
The morning of the event, I crawled out of my hermit hole and took a shower for once. I did my hair and makeup and made myself presentable for the world.
