IWD 2022 Celebration at Quickwork

International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate progress toward gender equality and women’s empowerment, critically reflect on those achievements, and seek more momentum toward gender equality worldwide.

On March 8 every year, it celebrates women’s social, political, and economic achievements. This day brings women from all around the world together to celebrate one another and rally for equal treatment and representation.

#BreakTheBias is the topic for this year’s International Women’s Day. It’s appropriate because bias is the root of all iniquity. It’s right there in the name; prejudice is simply unjust treatment or a preference for one item over another. Bias manifests itself first on a personal level. It has a stronghold on us, influencing our ideas, feelings, behaviours, and judgments. It subtly moulds and colours our perceptions, eventually forming an unconscious but firm belief.

It shows up in the way we appraise people based on our expectations. When making decisions based on what we think, it’s implied. It shows up in what we consider ‘acceptable behaviour’.

While you might think this is just another conventional Women’s Day post, it’s a reminder that femininity is something to be cherished every day since women in today’s world are more aware of the need to be strong and independent in every meaning of the word.

Women today preach that, in the end, you are the only one who can assist yourself. They’ve altered our perceptions of what it means to be a woman, and they’ve built a completely new world for themselves.

Quickwork’s young, enthusiastic, and accomplished women deserve special recognition.

When grace and compassion go hand in hand, amazing things happen that without women an organisation would never know.

We are lucky at Quickwork to have a group of passionate and ever-enthusiastic women working in a variety of fields, including design, development, and marketing. We not only believe in women’s empowerment, but we also practise it in our daily operations.

We appreciate the efforts you put in to make each activity run well, as well as your ability to manage difficult situations calmly and wisely, on this Women’s Day.
