Quidax is Expanding: From Africa to the World
The long and short of this story is that things are about to change big time 🌚.
So the story goes like this:
Quidax has grown into one of the top exchanges in Africa where people can trade cryptocurrencies. Since our journey began in 2018 with 3 customers we now serve over 400,000 customers in 72 countries and have processed over 3.2 billion dollars worth of transactions.
Our mission has always been to add more value & wealth to our customers by providing them with easy access to crypto.
While we’ve played an active role in helping people access crypto in Africa, since February this year we’ve been asking ourselves what’s next for us and for you.
So today, we’re happy to announce that we are expanding our mission beyond Africa. Here’s what that would mean for you.
What’s New at Quidax?
The Home of BEP20 Tokens
We’re positioning to become the home of BEP20 tokens for two main reasons:
- To bring the DeFi ecosystem to our customers
- To give new and promising projects a way to reach their intended customers and community.
This means that new block projects can list their BEP20 tokens on Quidax and you will be able to access those tokens.
We will also add DeFi functions like staking, savings, loans with crypto and several more.
QDX Token: The Powerhouse of the Cell
The biggest news is QDX, our own native token. QDX is a BEP20 token which will power all the functions within our ecosystem from trading fees on the exchange, to staking, governance, and all financial products.
No spoilers but you’ll be able to access everything from loans to savings on Quidax using the token. If you’re a DeFi-er, you’ll also be able to stake QDX tokens and get rewards. Holding QDX will also allow you to vote on some of the exciting decisions we make on the platform. This means that you no longer have just a front row seat to the future of money, you get to become a key decision maker.
We’ll be launching QDX through Julpad, the dedicated launchpad for Julswap. The best part is that this is the first token to launch on Julswap’s Julpad and we’re proud of the future it represents. From Africa to the world!!!

More Partnerships with the Best Projects
We’ve started partnering with exciting projects to give you as many crypto options and services as possible. To start, we’ve partnered with AFEN, Africa’s first government-backed NFT platform.
We will list $Afen and anyone can buy, sell, and trade it. We’ll also find ways to make it super easy for anyone to get started with NFTs.
Stuff to Know
Defi: DeFi stands for decentralized finance. It’s a group of crypto products that allow people to benefit more from crypto. An example of a DeFi project is AAVE which allows people to borrow crypto instantly or loan out their crypto and collect interest on it.
Julpad: This is a platform that allows crypto projects to launch their own tokens. It was created by JustLiquidity, a DeFi company with the aim of giving the best projects a way to reach their community and potential investors.
JulSwap: This is the official exchange of JulPad also created by JustLiquidity. It is a decentralized exchange where you can trade coins that work on the Binance Network (Binance Smart Chain).
BEP20: This is like a design or pattern for creating coins that can work on the Binance network which is known as Binance Smart Chain. The Binance Smart Chain (BSC) works just like Ethereum, by allowing people to build decentralized apps on it. These apps have their own system coins (tokens) which they can list on exchanges like Quidax for anyone to buy them.
