In collaboration with Flare, we’ve launched light integrations of two new blockchains to our micro on-ramp environment — Flare, an EVM-based Layer 1 chain focused on enabling developers to build interoperable decentralized applications, and Songbird, its canary network.

About FLR

FLR is the native token of Flare, a chain designed for dapps that need on-chain decentralized access to data from other chains as well as from the wider Internet. As a network token, FLR enables holders to:

  • Execute transactions on the Flare network;
  • Participate in the network’s governance via voting;
  • Stake as collateral in DeFi applications;
  • Delegate on the Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO), the chain’s native feed for decentralized price data

Flare’s design is dedicated to facilitating interoperability with two native protocols that provide high-integrity decentralized data to applications built on the network. The State Connector securely acquires event information from other blockchains and the internet to be used in smart contracts on Flare. And the Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO) utilizes the network structure to deliver highly decentralized prices and data series without relying on centralized data providers.

About SGB

SGB is the token for the Songbird blockchain, which is the operational test environment, or canary network, for Flare. SGB is used to validate transactions on Songbird, vote on network governance, and to delegate to the FTSO to support the provision of decentralized data to the network.

As a canary network, Songbird provides a deeper testing environment for developers looking to subject their protocols to ‘real fire’ conditions before launching them on Flare mainnet. Having a two tier system enables Flare to offer dependability and flexibility for the more developed and early stage applications whilst maintaining functionality for both networks.

Flare Network × Quidli

We’re pleased to support the Flare community by enabling the community to openly share FLR and SGB rewards in Flare’s Discord server through Quidli. Flare advocates can now distribute FLR and SGB tokens by way of thanks to community contributors for their valued support.

At Quidli, we’re always delighted by the opportunity to offer two more exciting options to our growing pool of crypto incentives to our user base.
