About tez
Tez is the native token of the Tezos blockchain. It’s used to interact with dApps, pay for fees, secure the network through staking, and provide a basic accounting unit on the Tezos platform.
“Baking” is the act of signing and publishing blocks to the Tezos blockchain. Bakers are a crucial component of the Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism by ensuring that all transactions in a block are correct, that the order of transactions is agreed upon, and that no double-spending has occurred. Bakers are rewarded with additional tez for securing the network.
TZ Connect Ă— Quidli
In collaboration with TZ Connect, Quidli has launched an initial light integration on the Tezos blockchain. Tez holders can now use Quidli to share tez-based rewards and bounties for their own organizational and community incentive use cases across browsers, Slack and Discord.
Accordingly, members and developers in these online communities can now be rewarded in tez for their contributions towards helping the Tezos ecosystem grow via Quidli.
