Following a busy summer, we only now realized we hadn’t openly provided updates on Quidli since July 😅 So we’ve hastily prepared this post as a summary of all changes and updates we’ve made to our crypto based micro-incentives tool in the past couple of months, starting from the most recent.

Web app UI/UX 💻

In what’s a momentous occasion for us, the web app has finally gotten a makeover after displaying the same interface and workflows for almost a year. The new interface focuses on streamlining the core function of the app: To easily distribute crypto as micro-incentives among colleagues, community members, freelancers, etc.

Where the previous version appeared geared around portfolio management (which is not unlike the UI of most hosted exchanges today), the dashboard has now been redesigned to give users a better sense of their interactions with others via Quidli — the aim was to provide more immediate visibility on the Who, What, When and Why of a user’s sharing/receiving of crypto-based recognition and rewards.

And while the main web product will continue to evolve, we’re confident that this initial set of changes and adjustments, which were largely based on regular user feedback and comments, is a big step in the greater direction of supporting digital native organizations to boost engagement, motivate more collaboration and drive overall alignment in their missions.

More the merrier 👫🏽👫🏿👫

Among feature requests we get, one of the most frequent is group distributions — sharing tokens with more than one person via a single workflow. It turns out, at least among our users, that it’s more often the case that a group merits recognition for an achievement rather than an individual. So we’ve added batching for multiple people on one transaction via the web app.

Simply input the token and fiat value you wish to share, select the respective people in your group who’re involved, and send to each person in one click.

Transaction hashes added to History #️⃣

Users can now access proof of outbound transactions (from Quidli to external wallets) from their Transaction History found in the web app. Transaction hash links to the relevant blockchain explorers are provided for transactions such as withdrawals, purchases, and donations.

To get the blockchain explorer link: 1. Go to your Transaction History in the web app; 2. select the transaction you need the hash for; and 3. click on the View Transaction link. All relevant on-chain details should be available and displayed in their respective explorer.

Expanded NEAR features 🎉

Back in July we introduced the addition of NEAR, tokens native to the NEAR blockchain, as a crypto incentive option on Quidli partly in thanks to a generous grant from the NEAR Foundation via MOVE Capital, a DAO native to the NEAR ecosystem.

Quidli users may already be aware of this update as we deployed a portion of this grant via an “airdrop” as a way to say ‘Thanks’ to our most active users back in August. And since then, we’ve also integrated yield for users on any NEAR they hold on Quidli via automated staking; as well as bounties for helping to promote Quidli and learn more about the NEAR blockchain paid out in NEAR.

As a result, in less than two months, over 100 users have been introduced to and have interacted with NEAR. This has served as a strong indicator for the greater play to earn approaches and features that Quidli aims to add more of in future updates.

Slack OAuth for login 🔐

Piggybacking on the strong traction we’ve seen so far from the QuidliSlack app, we enabled access to our “hub,” the web application, via Slack’s OAuth flow. This provides users with the option to enable a more secure flow for users to access Quidli from the tools their more familiar with; while reducing the friction of having to sign up for yet another web app to use for work.

Stay tuned for more 👍

Firstly, a big thanks to the core group of users who’ve supported and helped us build this far — your feedback and patience has been immensely valuable in our mission to build an incentives product that better fits the online and decentralized “office” environments that many of us are working in today.

Accordingly, there are a lot more items in our short-term road map to increasingly embed crypto based micro-incentives and play to earn mechanics in our work tools. We’re very much looking forward to sharing these with you so please keep following us to stay up to date!
