Insights into our structure and work culture

Let’s get it out of the way: Quidli is a blockchain startup aiming to ICO.

Given the growing hype and number of scams in this space, government and media scrutiny around the world is high (some of it warranted, some of it not). It’s up to ICO companies to demonstrate compliance and transparency in order to establish trust in their communities and to the larger public. As such, we at Quidli want to take this opportunity to open up our own blueprints.

Structure

Our ultimate vision is to build Quidli into an organization that’s as decentralized as our equity transfer network — we want a Quidli where the users decide future direction together as a community. To get there, we’ve formed the Squidcore, a centralized team managing the initial protocol development. The Squidcore also recruits Squiddites to join the community and openly help build this technology in exchange for equity. As development progresses, Squidcore disappears and control is transferred to Squiddites.

In line with allowing companies to split ownership equity to offer workers as compensation for labor, we reward all Quidli contributors in future tokens. Everyone involved, Squidcore and Squiddite, becomes a stakeholder, giving everyone motivation to work hard and drive this project to a successful ICO.

We’re a decentralized team and our system has allowed us to recruit and onboard today 14 people across Europe and North America. And all of us are working 100% on a token basis.

Culture

We believe the future of work will be built on top of equity as compensation. That’s why we apply it as a core principle at Quidli. While we understand this isn’t necessarily for everyone, it’s important we stick to our guns because it allows us to find partners who truly believe in what we’re doing.

As such, we define and share a work culture manifesto 100% aligned with our vision. Working with top talent is great, but cultural fit brings more than talent. Cultural fit is a mindset that lets everyone, internal and external, know we’re in it to win it. So documenting and publicly sharing our work culture and values is our way of setting expectations clearly from the get go.

TL;DR

If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up people to collect wood. Don’t assign tasks or give orders. Rather, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.

Yes, Quidli is another blockchain startup pursuing an ICO. As such, we want our venture development to be as transparent as possible, especially in terms of structure and culture. If we can attract people who understand our values, in addition to our vision, then our ship will be on-boarded by the talent we need to succeed. Join us if you’re interested in building the future of work!
