Backpack

A backpack is a very personal item, and with all of the different options available it’s essential to find something that fits your style and requirements. After a long summer of bringing your backpack on travels, to music festivals, camping out and going to the park or the beach, it’s safe to assume you’ll need a new one for the upcoming semester.

Laptop

While everybody else is left faffing around with loose scraps of paper and dog eared notebooks, get ahead of your classmates by having all your reading material and notes stored on a laptop. If books and notepads aren’t your style, there’s no more efficient way of working than with a reliable & compact laptop. You’ll thank us when you hear about your classmates’ old laptops crashing, throwing away priceless hours worth of coursework. Just try and keep the Netflix tab closed while you’re studying!

Currys PC World offer a huge selection on laptops and accessories!

Stationery

Don’t get us wrong, we know using a laptop isn’t always suitable and you’ll undoubtedly also need a decent range of stationery, especially depending on your chosen course. We feature many retailers that supply everything from basic stationery supplies to more specialised art tools. Why not check out the impressive range from University & Office Stationery Supplies Russell Square or London Graphic Centre?

Coffee

Due to a hectic workload and a buzzing social schedule, it’s no shock that university students are known for their high levels of caffeine consumption. It’s difficult to maintain the strong work ethic that universty demands, whilst also staying on top of the amazing opportunity it allows students to socialise, party and have fun before they graduate and transition to a tamer, more responsible lifestyle.

It would be too difficult to give just 1 or 2 recommendations for where you should get your coffee picked up from, so here is a page full of them!

Headphones

Studies suggest that listening to music, specifically classical music, has multiple benefits for the brain, sleep patterns, the immune system and stress levels. When you listen to classical music during studying, it’s been shown that it puts students into a heightened emotional state, making them more receptive to information, even without paying direct attention to it. A great pair of headphones or earbuds will also keep you company on your daily commutes to class and drown out any distractions you may face during intense study sessions. Check out the great range available from Bose.

Fancy Dress

Freshers Week gets the new semester started with a bang! It’s the perfect introduction to student life, gives you the chance to meet your new peers and allows you to explore some of London’s hottest student locations. These events are often themed and filled with all varieties of costumes and fancy dress. An impressive costume is a surefire way to break the ice and start meeting new people on your student journey.

Alcoholic Beverages

Students are known for consuming 2 things in excess at this time of their lives, caffeine and alcohol… sometimes even together! Students love the nightlife and love to party, and there’s never been an easier way to get your hands on your favourite drinks without even having to leave your flat.

Bluetooth Speaker

Clearly there’s more to being a student than the academic side of it, there’s also the social aspect to it. And when you’re enjoying time off, a great sounding bluetooth speaker can certainly elevate the mood at parties in your flat or student halls or at the park on weekends. Why not get all your flatmates to chip in and pick one up together? You really can’t put a price on the experience you get with quality sound.
