Your delivery is important, this requires you to speak at an appropriate volume level and with confidence (not arrogance).

Think about what you are about to say before saying it.

I think this is the biggest mistake people make.

Imagine if your words were going out in a tweet to 10 million people. You want to make your message clear and unambiguous.

Consider the immediate audience or individual you’re addressing and how they will react. Put yourself in their shoes.

Some might call this being overly concerned with “political correctness.”

I’m fine with that.

In my mind, being politically correct means I consider the effect my words have on others before I let the words leave my mouth.

I’m not speaking just to satisfy my own ego.

Words have an effect.

They can do great good or cause great harm.

I prefer great good.
