Let your passion at work just show

Truth: We have had before incredulous work or responsibility, offloaded to us. May it be a demanding or ridiculous deadline, to an “over friendly” colleague who just being class A” obnoxious. You have no choice — and now, being the better person (self-proclaimed, no judgements here :)), will do the necessary. You accept and plow through it all. And what follows is this feeling — the fact that you accepted more work, doing more than others. The feeling of dismay or shock that follows for some is truly disconcerting or stressful. It gets to you. The better of you.

No matter the circumstance, to a passionate (naive maybe? just kidding!) person at work, the acceptance part of this truth is “miles apart” different. There is even a bonus smile. No contempt, no negativity, and what follows is yes, beautiful hard work.

This day’s write off is for the rank and file, the people who are at the trenches, the rowdy bunch who day in and day out, log in on time, do the day’s task and MORE. With a smile. In a practical sense, the cogs that make the whole of the company work.

Do not feel bad if other people are getting the best of you, or even feel negative if you had “that bad day”, heck you may have even more of those. This is a norm. Accept and let your positiveness do the rest. Make it fun by putting a personal stamp at work — it’s different for every person so this I leave to you. :)

In adversity, accepting that there’s hard work to be done, you will be the “influencer”, an inspiration to teammates and co-workers. Don’t also try or give in to the easy out — ranting or office gossip. Don’t also mind the loud, condescending, blabbering blatant personalities. They are more disconnected to reality than they’d like to think and you will go far in the workplace from them.

Mind your business, do what is needed from you, and end of the day, be proud of the time you’ve spent at your 2nd home (it can be you know..) — the work place. Close in with your pals at work who also influence the positive energy, convey the same rhythm.

Ending this by sharing a power song I have always loved at work, “Shut Up and Rock” by Blessed by a Broken Heart. Have a great time at work and be productive!
