Anime takes action to a whole different level, you’ve got gun fights, sword fights, alchemy, hand-to-hand combat and so much more. And if you can’t figure out which action anime to start with, then don’t worry, Quriverse has put together some great action anime that you can go and watch right now!

10. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure

As the title says, this show is not afraid to be unique and bizarre.

This supernatural storyline spans across decades, dealing with the lineage of the Jostar family. The unique thing about Jojo’s is that various parts follow a different protagonist and setting for each one.

Quriverse’s Panel Suggestion: Do you love action-packed anime having overarching weirdness? If so, you must watch Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.

9. Parasyte

Parasyte does almost everything right, from the exciting and unique story, breathtaking action sequences, excellent character dynamics, amazingly grotesque animation style, and a perfect soundtrack.

The show is about Shinichi, who gets infected by an alien Parasyte and has to form a symbiotic relationship with it to survive and fight against alien invasion. The show’s narrative maintains the balance between the violence and the message behind the plot, posing us with some thought-provoking questions.

Quriverse’s Panel Suggestion: A definite must-watch for short thriller fans.

8. My Hero Academia

My hero academia has become immensely popular both in Japan and worldwide, hitting it right outside the park when it comes to Shōnen anime.

The story is about how a young kid Quirkless, in a world full of quirk-enhanced people, sets off to become the world’s greatest hero.

My Hero Academia stands out with its unique and in-depth world-building and character developments. This show offers some excellently choreographed action scenes you will ever witness.

Every episode is engaging, and it balances humor, tragedy, and adorableness exceptionally well.

Quriverse’s Panel Suggestion: If you like heroes with super cool powers, then this should be your pick

7. Mob Psycho 100

Honestly, this show is a masterpiece, you will not regret watching this anime. The art style might seem weird at first, but trust me you will start embracing it.

The story is about Mob, a relatable and endearing protagonist who, while very powerful, doesn’t like to use his powers to rush through life and get what he wants. Instead, he wants to better himself as a person, protect those around him, and live a better, less stressful life.

It has one of the best action scenes I’ve ever seen, the characters are very relatable, having their own story to share without taking the spotlight away from the main characters.

Quriverse’s Panel Suggestion: If you’re someone like me who likes the well-written secretly-op character troupe, then this anime is for you.

6. Jujutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen is completely unique while at the same time being an amalgamation of every Shōnen anime out there.

Akutami did the best possible thing, he took inspiration and played them out in his own style. All the characters will seem familiar to you in this series, although unique as well.

The story revolves around Yuuji Itadori, a high schooler who finds himself thrust into the world of curses following an encounter with a cursed item. MAPPA has again set the bar for action anime shows with Jujutsu Kaisen. Every fight sequence is well executed with the right usage of music and colours, bringing all the elements together.

Quriverse’s Panel Suggestion: If you’re looking for god-tier fighting sequences, you must give it a try.

5. Demon Slayer

It didn’t take long for the demon slayer to break the barrier that kept anime series niche and transcended into the realm of pop culture.

Demon Slayer follows Tanjiro, whose family was killed by a demon, and his kid sister, Nezuko, had been turned into a demon. He takes a pledge to kill demons and find a cure to turn his sister back into a human.

This show makes you feel anger and sorrow at the same time, and shows that everyone has their own struggles. The animation quality of the Demon Slayer anime is truly mind-blowing. Ufotable has done its magic again.

Quriverse’s Panel Suggestion: If nothing else, just watch for the beautiful art and music.

4. Vinland Saga

Vinland Saga is set in 1013AD England, and it is loosely based on 11th-century Vikings from Norse mythology. Every character in the series is driven by their own ideology, ethics, and set of rules that they follow to reach their own dreams. It is fascinating to watch how each character having complete opposite views coexist for their personal gains.

Vinland Saga takes us through the life of ThorFinn, the son of Thors(one of the greatest Viking warrior). ThorFinn, seeing his father’s death happen before his very eyes, felt helplessness and despair. After which, he vows to take revenge for his father and redeem himself as a Viking warrior.

Quriverse’s Panel Suggestion: If you are a fan of historical seinen with a pinch of philosophy, you should definitely put this on your watch list.

3. One Punch Man

One Punch Man breaks all classic shōnen anime tropes.

One Punch Man delivers some crazy action-packed moments and some awesome heroes and bizarre villains to throw into the mix. The animation is absolutely incredible, as expected from STUDIO MADHOUSE.

The story is about Saitama, a 25-year-old guy who, following an incident where he saves a young boy from a villain, decides to become a hero. He trains for three years straight to the point where he loses all his hair and ultimately becomes the world’s strongest hero who can knock out any villain with just a punch, hence nothing really interests him other than supermarket sales.

His nonchalant attitude is where a lot of the humor comes from, as his lack of expression expresses so much!

Quriverse’s Panel Suggestion: It’s an excellent start for people who are just getting into anime.

2. Attack On Titan

If someone says, Attack On Titan is overrated, tell them it deserves it.

This show is definitely not your typical shōnen series whatsoever. This show has everything from insane visuals, beautiful voice acting, along with great action and music.

Attack On Titan shines the best with its world-building and how the characters weave into this series to produce a carefully articulated and powerful story.

The story is dark but beautiful, and the animation is the best anime has to offer. The show has an amazingly good pace, with a blend of gut-wrenching tense action scenes and heartfelt character moments.

Quriverse’s Panel Suggestion: People who like a constant shadow of mystery and suspense that keeps them on the edge of their seats.

  1. Hunter X Hunter

To anyone debating whether they should watch this amazing series, don’t. Just go watch it.

The story narrates the journey of Gon Freecss, who wants to become the best hunter and find his father, who himself was a hunter. Along the way, he befriends three others, with whom he sets out for an adventure.

The amazing complexity, uniqueness, and development of the world and characters, the solid and very intriguing plot and narratives, and the creativeness, consistency, and depth of the power system make it perfect.

Quriverse’s Panel Suggestion: If there is one anime that I would recommend to anyone, it’s HxH.

So that’s all for the top ten action anime. I hope you enjoyed my recommendations, and if you are looking to connect with anime folks around the world? Join us @ Quriverse!
