It all happened on a Thursday evening.

On this forever infamous day, ten companies had four minutes. Four minutes to show the packed room their product, tell their story, and showcase their team.

When the four minutes were over, they weren’t done. Oh no. Four elite judges had three minutes to ask questions. Three minutes to pick their business apart.

So who are these companies?

QwipIt is a crazy fun way to create, discover, and collect bite-sized videos to drop into the conversation. In seconds you can create a looping clip that makes friends laugh and delights followers. Here’s Seamus Nally throwing down.

Sarnen Steinbarth told the crowd about Turbo Tenant. Turbo Tenant is landlord and tenant software, by means of tenant screening, online rent payments, rental applications.

Homebot is a financial dashboard and planner for homeowners. It helps them save money, build wealth, and develop true home finance IQ. Great quote by Ernie Graham.

Then Chris Jenson braved the crowd to pitch Givella. Givella uses mobile technology to raise money for schools and nonprofits through shopping incentives. SPOILER ALERT: Givella took runner up in the competition! << Congrats!!

GetOutfitted rents ski and snowboard apparel and accessories directly to customers doorsteps with free and easy shipping and returns. Here’s Julian Flores telling us more.

Up on stage, Chris Drayer pitched Revaluate. Revaluate has built the largest, unique real estate database sourcing public, private and even paper to help people know what its really like to live at an address.

CakeCodes uses BitMaker, a mobile app, that empowers the users to collect Bitcoins at anytime, anywhere. Here’s Calvin Hsieh during his pitch.

Brenden Benzing did a great job of explaining My Neighbor. MyNeighbor is a neighborhood based mobile-centric marketplace for the borrowing and lending of goods and services that saves borrowers money and time while making money for the lender and/or their preferred charity.

Switch Automation is a leading provider of smart building, enterprise operations and automation solutions for commercial buildings, apartments and homes. Aaron Lapsley did a great job of pitching. SPOILER ALERT: Such a great job, that Switch Automation won the competition!! <<Congrats!

Marty Cornish told the crowd about EasyPaint’s killer traction! From hiring a certified painter — to managing the job — to payment, EasyPaint makes sure your job gets done right.

The judges asked hard questions all night! Relentless and nothing less than thorough.

Thanks to Galvanize for the great event (and all the campus pitch competitions leading up to it). And thank you to the supporters. Even though QwipIt may have not won the competition, we know that we have a great group of supporters behind us cheering us on along the way.
