Announcement: One QxMD Account Across All of Our Apps

At QxMD, we’ve been working hard to build digital medical education tools that help busy clinicians stay at the forefront of research in their area. Today we proudly announce QxMD Accounts, one QxMD account for all of our apps:

1. Read by QxMD, a personalized medical and scientific journal that helps busy clinicians discover and access professionally relevant medical research.
2. Calculate by QxMD, a clinical decision support platform that hosts over 400 unique tools encompassing all specialties.
3. Learn by QxMD, a mobile-first eCME platform that enables healthcare providers to earn CME/CPD credits in less than 15 minutes per day.

We’ve had a long history of building apps, but as we continued to build more tools for our global audience of clinicians, we realized two things:

First is the power of personalization. Even simple features such as being able to have favourites, recents and saved settings are great aids in saving time and making the experience better. Beyond that, the great feedback from our community around the value of the algorithmic recommendations seen in Read’s “Featured Paper” feed has us convinced that the way forward is an individualized experience for everyone.

Since this meant that each member of our community would have to maintain an account for each app, we realized people were becoming overwhelmed by too many accounts to manage. Nobody wants that.

That is why we decided to update all of our apps to provide ONE account that would work across our platform in order to bring you:

1. Personalized content
2. Easy to access favourites & recents
3. Saved settings
4. And much more to come!

Here’s how you can get your QxMD account:

Read users — Your account has been automatically updated to QxMD accounts. You may now use this same account credentials (username and password) on both Calculate and Learn.

Calculate users — If you already had a Read account, you may now use your Read account to login to Calculate. If you’ve only ever used Calculate, when you open the mobile app (iOS or Android), you will be prompted to convert your account to a QxMD account. Alternatively, you may visit https://qxmd.com/calculate/, click on the hamburger icon on the top right and click “Create Account”.

Learn users — all new registrations through https://learn.qxmd.com/ will create a QxMD accounts. You may also use this account on both Read and Calculate.
