Genesis G80

Genesis the Hyundai owned luxury brand recently launched their all-new Genesis G80 sedan with with bold new styling, luxurious interiors and an incredible three powertrain options. It gets more coupé-inspired profiling, with family design elements similar to the GV80 SUV inside and out.

This four-door coupé look is more pronounced with the roofline flowing all the way to the tip of the boot-lid and it features split light clusters at the front and rear. It also features a fusion of sedan and coupe styling with a roofline that tapers into a spoiler like element towards the rear. It sits on 20-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels.

Genesis G80 will be available with three engine options:
— 2.5-litre turbocharged 4-cyl petrol engine with 304bhp and 422Nm
— 3.5-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine with 380bhp and 530Nm
— 2.2-litre 4-cyl diesel with 210bhp and 441Nm

The interior too borrows heavily from the GV80 with an identical dashboard design complete with a free standing 14.5-inch infotainment system display and buttons kept to a minimum. There is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a heads-up display.

Apart from all of this, there are plenty other smart functionalities like Genesis CarPlay, Smart Cruise Control with Machine Learning that enlists the help of AI that helps the car learn the driving characteristics of the driver and provide assistance accordingly.

The new Genesis G80 has just gone on sale in the South Korean market and will reach showrooms in North America in the second half of 2020.
