KTM is well renowned as Europe’s largest motorcycle manufacturer and Austria’s only car manufacturer. CEO Stefan Pierer, launched their first KTM X-BOW over 12 years ago. And since then they have managed to sell over 1,300 units worldwide, all manufactured at one of their most modern low-volume manufacturing facilities at Graz.

Performance and Purism all enclosed within an extreme design and armed for adventures, KTM has managed to catch the eye of a lot of Motor enthusiasts over the years.

As of March 2020, the world of GT racing is about to get way more interesting because motorcycle maker KTM has announced their latest car, the X-Bow GTX, which has been termed as the most powerful and extreme X-Bow to date. The X-BOW GTX will come with a mid-mounted 2.5-litre Audi 5 cylinder engine, tuned to over 600HP in top-spec.

Although, they haven’t disclosed all concrete technical details to the public, we do know it’ll be manufactured in partnership of Reiter Engineering. And reports also suggest that this will be the first ever car “to combine a homologated monocoque with a homologated GT cage, and, on request, also with a homologated advanced seat.”

In simple words, the X-BOW GTX is going to be freaking fasstt.

KTM also plans to offer a GTX track-day variant to the public as well as a GT2 race variant for actual, sanctioned race teams. Although, an inaugural batch of only 20 cars will be coming out this year. That gives us hope that a street legal version will eventually make it to market latest by 2021.
