All of us were pretty bummed when we heard that GM’s popular car the Hummer was discontinued in 2010. But guess what? They’re all set to make a comeback with an all new Hummer in 2022. And here’s the twist. It’s an all electric Hummer that GMC’s launching as the GMC Hummer EV SUT.

Here’s a little that we know as of now,
* 1000+ Horsepower
* 0–60mph in less than over 3secs
* and a whooping 11,500 lb-ft of torque

GMC’s take on an EV pickup truck is not surprising as Pickup trucks are clearly the new frontier of EV’s. The Hummer EV is up against pretty big contenders like the vehicles from Tesla, Rivian, Bollinger and even Ford with their popular Ford F50.

While the name Hummer rings bells, the Hummer EV SUT will be an all-new model for the GMC lineup. General Motors have said that they’ll be launching the all new Hummer late in 2021. And it’ll probably go into production in 2022. It is speculated to be priced around $70,000 at launch.

The Hummer EV SUT will ride on GM’s third-generation EV platform. The company also said that its truck-based models will have an 800-volt architecture with 350-kWh fast-charging capability. That indicates the Hummer could have a driving range of up to 400 miles. Which according to us, are pretty impressive stats right there. So, let’s keep our eyes and ears eagerly open for the new Hummer.
