Most people I know squander their days in anticipation, expectation, or consternation of whatever’s coming down the pike.

So enraptured and enthralled they are by a prospect that frightens, excites or worries them, they lose all sight of the present moment and disregard it as though it were a worthless trifle, unworthy of notice or appreciation.
