Who is Kalki and what to expect from him
According to several thousand years old Hindu scriptural prophecy a Kalki Avatar is set to appear somewhere in current times, and the times are ripe. Pretty ripe!
The scriptures say Kalki will be born in a humble Brahmin family in Sambhalpur village somewhere near Bihar, India to a Brahmin man named Vishnuyasha and his wife Sumati. From birth Kalki will be blue-skinned and endowed with special powers. He will train for military under Parashuram and when he reaches adulthood he will mount a horse, summon his divine weapons and begin ending all evil on Earth. After this Satyayuga or the new era of complete righteousness will start.
In the last Vishnu Avatars, Ram and Krishna both were born blue-skinned with divine powers, knowledge, strength, wisdom and intelligence, yet both had different character. While Ram was obedient, gentle, humble, respecting boundaries, upholding rules, and soft spoken, Krishna was cheerful, playful, witty, sharp, innovative, creative, diplomatic, assertive, shrewd, and multi talented.
Since current times require more of a personality that’s able to mold, induce and influence the large unruly masses, Kalki Avatar, the tenth and final Avatar of Vishnu might be more like Krishna than like Ram.
