Let’s learn Microbit! (3-Show numbers, icons, and texts)

Make a smiley face Microbit!

Now, it is time to learn to use microbit!

First, let’s show numbers!

Open the browser and drag the “show number 0” block into the forever block. (the “show number 0” is in the Basics section) Click the 0 and you can change the number to show!

Then click download and download it into “MICROBIT (D:)”. If you didn’t download it there, then it won’t work, and you need to insert your microbit into your computer to have “MICROBIT (D:)”

Next, show icons

There are two ways to show icons,

1. Show icons

This way you can choose the icon you want to use if you click the down button of “show icon”

2. Show leds

If you use the “show leds” block you can make your own icon, and show it on your microbit. Just click the dark blue boxes and it will turn white, the white parts are the places the leds will show.

Last, show texts (strings)

Just type in a word or sentence you want to show in the “show string” and microbit will show it as a scrolling text! (You can only type in english)
