This is a very moving story for me. A boy named Peter regrets leaving his pet fox Pax alone beside the road, so, he went on an adventure of finding Pax and bringing him back home. Both Peter and Pax had problems on their adventures, but they always conquer them.

Characters

Peter

Peter is a boy who likes baseball, once on a trip, he found a fox alone in the snow, Peter brought him home and ever since he had a pet fox. Peter is stubborn but it helped him quite a lot on his adventure.

Pax

Once he was alone and cold in the snow, his brothers and sisters were dead and he was the only one surviving. Peter brought him home and he always loved him. Even though Pax had never hunt by himself in the wild, but he was a quick learner. A fox told him how to hunt, and he immediately caught a lot of rats. I think Pax is a caring fox that is worried about his master and wants to help him all the time.

Vola

Vola was a soldier in war but ran away, and retired in the mountains. When Peter showed up hurt, Vola helped him and also taught him how to use crutches. She is a kind woman and regretted that she had ever killed innocent people.

From “New York Times”

To me, the book Pax is all about love and caring. People should always think of everything you do not just do things blindly and never even think it was a good thing or bad. I suggest everyone think before you make a move. For example, Peter in the book never thought that abandoning Pax in the woods in the wrong thing to do, so, when he thought of that, it was too late, so he went on a dangerous adventure. It is obvious that Peter could have not to abandon Pax in the first place!

If you are a big fan of “The Wild Robot”, you would definitely like Pax. I would give it a rate of 8 out of 10.

Hope you enjoy it!
