I finally got to watch the latest spider-man movie — No way home yesterday(though it came out last year). And it was REALLY GOOD, it definitely is a masterpiece in the history of the cinematic industry.

Plot

Spider-man: No Way Home takes place right after the previous movie Spider-Man: Far from home, after Mysterio revealed Spider-Man’s identity as Peter Parker and accused him of murdering him. So, Peter went to Doctor Strange for help to make everyone forget that he was Spider-Man. After Strange’s spell goes wrong, they have to make up for the consequences caused in order to prevent the universe they are in from becoming chaotic.

What I like about this movie

  1. Most of the villains from previous movies coming back

Because Doctor Strange’s spell went wrong, the villains that once fought with Peter Parker from other universes all arrived in this universe. Including Doc. Ock, Sandman, The Green Goblin, Electro, and The Lizard. Even Tobey Maguire’s and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man came back!

It’s really cool seeing all these characters in the same movie at the same time. And now I finally know the relation between the three spideys!!! (I’ve been thinking about this for a long long time…)

3. The twists in the movie

I actually really like it when you think that everything is fine and according to plan when something goes wrong the next second in the movie, those are great twists.

For example, Doctor Strange was just going to send the people from other universes back to their own universes when Peter stopped him cause he wants to cure them before sending them back(which makes the situation even worse and caused his Aunt May’s death😭)

Another is when Peter decided to really make everyone in the universe forget who he was which leads to the (kinda) sad ending.

2. The ending

At the end of the movie, Peter realized that the only way to stop the multiverse from becoming chaotic is to make everyone forget him, which means that Ned, MJ, and those he loves will forget who he was. Strange didn’t want to do that at first(cause he will miss Peter too😭), but eventually agreed for the greater good.

It was heartbreaking when Peter went and said goodbye to Ned and MJ, who doesn’t want to forget him. After the spell was casted, Peter visited MJ and hesitated whether to introduce himself to MJ or not, and we can only see a trace of recognition on MJ’s face then.

Though I think that the ending was quite good, I really wished that MJ and Ned could remember who Peter was~(He is just so pathetic😭)

4. The VFX

In the movie, we can see that there are a lot of visual effects going on. And what’s mindblowing is that The Lizard and Sandman didn’t actually participate in the acting part. Those are footage from their other Spider-Man movie. It’s really surprising that we’re able to do that now. (It must’ve cost a lot of money) It even got nominated for “Best Visual Effects” in the Academy Awards!

Really, everyone who hasn’t seen Spider-Man: No way home should check it out. And I and excited to watch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in the future. I sure hope that Marvel will make another Spider-Man movie🤩!
