Terrasse Laverdure
When the Condo Board of this 38-unit multi-residential building started to receive requests from tenants for EV chargers in their parking spaces, in May 2020, they started to plan an EV Ready project for the building.
Charging Solution
The electrical room and the parking spaces are located on the same level, which means the electrical meters are accessible. Therefore, the Electric Vehicle Energy Management System (EVEMS) was chosen as the charging solution.
Installation Approach
Only nine tenants wanted an EV charger in their parking space but the board wanted to prepare the entire building for electric vehicle charging to ensure the smooth deployment of future installations. To do so, they chose to go with the Partial Global Approach and had common infrastructure installed, such as cantrusts and pullboxes.
Set Up
In order to find the right electrical contractor to conduct the work, the board used Murbly’s Request for Proposals template. This process took place between May and November 2020. An electrical contractor was then mandated to carry out the work before mid-December.
Installation
Between December 1st and December 14th, 9 FLO G5 EV chargers were installed in the condo complex.
