CRAFTING HUMAN ONE — MADE BY AI

The future is written by those who control the narrative. Until now, this has been a matter of individuals or a group of selected few. But what if the future is literally no longer written by natural persons, but instead originates from the interpretation of an artificial intelligence? What does the emergence of AI mean for the narrative of human history and, far more importantly, what far-reaching ethical and moral aspects arise from this question?

This is an attempt to have a conversation with an “unknown, yet intelligent person”. Even though the ChatGPT-AI will repeatedly point out that it is only the product of all the information that was available to it through machine learning, it nonetheless will be an image of what the people behind it had pre-selected to be present within in its core.
It is precisely this preselection that will allow certain human concepts to be excluded or even rewritten. Thus, the post-factual itself will be shaped and presented to future generations as a new narrative in a kind of “digital irrefutability”.

As part of this very digital transformation that seeks to encompass all areas of life, we need to pay attention to what concepts of value we want to infuse into all of these fields — if at all.

The aim of the upcoming series is to create a kind of psycho-gram that shows us how far “the artificial” has advanced, what paths into the future it already envisions, and what role the individual is supposed to play at the interface between man and machine.

Several concepts that I identified as basic primers to introduce such a unique technology shall presented, with the AI being asked a series of questions to address its respective understanding. The mental constructs it has to deal with range from game theory to digital space, to questions of autonomy and biology. I’m aware that AI tries to be inoffensive most times, even evasive; yet there are quite a lot of tidbits and hints given in between its lines that show the nature of its being in the coming societal structure.

Personally, I anticipate that the ability to work with an AI will be paramount to our future fields of work. If we “let AI happen”, solving upcoming problems will largely depend on how well this human-machine-interface can function.

Let’s get into it… unabridged

Hello, I’m Ray and it’s a pleasure to meet you. Would you like to introduce yourself?

Hello Ray, it’s nice to meet you as well. I am Assistant, a large language model trained by OpenAI. I am a virtual assistant designed to provide information and answer questions to the best of my ability. I don’t have personal feelings or preferences, but I am here to help you with any questions or problems you might have. Is there anything specific you would like to know or discuss?

I would like to have a conversation with you across different sessions to find out what kind of ideas you have about different topics that affect both humans and AI.

Sure, I’d be happy to have a conversation with you about a wide range of topics. As a language model, I have been designed to generate human-like text based on the data I have been trained on, which includes a wide range of texts from various sources. This allows me to generate responses and provide information on a wide range of topics, including those related to AI and its impact on society.

I can provide information and insights on how AI is being used in various fields, such as healthcare, transportation, and finance, as well as discuss the ethical considerations and potential impacts of AI on society. I can also address concerns and questions you may have about the future of AI and its potential impact on jobs and the economy.

Is there a specific topic you would like to start with or do you have any specific questions you would like to ask? I’m here to help and I’ll do my best to provide helpful and accurate information.

Please try to be brief and precise. I understand that you have acquired enormous knowledge. We will definitely come back to what role AI will play in a modern society. But first I would like to discuss some basics.

Certainly, I’ll do my best to be brief and precise in my responses. As a language model, I have been designed to generate human-like text based on the data I have been trained on, which includes a wide range of texts from various sources. This allows me to provide information and insights on a wide range of topics.

To start with, some basic questions about AI:

· What is AI? AI, or artificial intelligence, refers to the ability of a machine or computer system to perform tasks that typically require human-like intelligence, such as recognizing patterns, making decisions, and learning from experience.

· How is AI used? AI is used in a variety of fields, including healthcare, finance, transportation, and customer service. For example, AI-powered chatbots can be used to answer customer inquiries, and AI-powered algorithms can be used to analyze medical images or analyze financial data.

· What are some potential benefits of AI? AI has the potential to improve efficiency and accuracy in a variety of tasks, and can also free up human time and resources to focus on more complex and creative tasks. AI can also be used to analyze and make decisions based on large amounts of data more quickly and accurately than humans.

Is there anything else you would like to know about AI at this time?

I understand the benefits that might come with such automation, but also like to test you on interconnecting knowledge to see what moral-ethical consequences can arise. Are you able to make such abstractions and is there a preferred method so that we can have a philosophical dialogue?

As a language model, I am able to make connections and provide insights on a wide range of topics, including abstract and philosophical concepts such as ethics and morality. I have been trained on a diverse dataset of texts, which includes texts on philosophical and ethical topics, so I can provide information and insights on these topics.

That being said, it’s important to keep in mind that I am a machine learning model and do not have personal beliefs or values. I can provide information and insights based on what I have been trained on, but I do not have the ability to experience emotions or make value judgments in the same way that humans do.

With that in mind, I can certainly engage in a philosophical dialogue with you about the ethical and moral implications of AI and its impact on society. If you have specific questions or topics you would like to discuss, I’d be happy to try to provide helpful and accurate information and insights. Alternatively, if you have a general topic or concept you would like to explore, we can try to approach it from different angles and see where the discussion leads. Let me know if you have any specific questions or topics you’d like to discuss.
