We believe that timing is everything and it’s all about the people. We are seeking someone who wants to help change how the world works as our Director of Operations and manage our internal operations as we scale up and continue this race!

The Director of Operations will be responsible for transitioning our entire backend infrastructure in-house and managing operations as we scale. This role is multi-disciplinary and requires expertise in finance, investor relations, accounting, reporting, legal, and HR.

This is a mission critical role with a path to grow and scale with Race! The Director of Operations will work closely with the general partners and will also play a role in defining our operation processes and strategies as well as interact with limited partners to help manage investor relations.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the general partners to implement systems for finance, accounting, reporting and human resources.
  • Continuously improving the effectiveness and efficiency of Race operations by streamlining processes and harnessing technology.
  • Interface with limited partners and manage financial reporting and investor relations.
  • Work directly with portfolio companies to manage follow on financings and M&A.
  • Assist in processing new deals including terms sheets and closing docs.
  • Assist in creating quarterly and annual financial reports to investors including IRR and multiple analysis.
  • Play a role in portfolio management and development.

Requirements

  • Has held an operations role at a venture capital fund or similar organization.
  • Deep financial acumen and experience building returns models, financial statements and valuations.
  • Expertise in deciphering cap tables and legal deal closing documents to generate reports.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate with executive level management.
  • Passion for technology startups and driven to grow as part of a small team.
