Deadline for 2019 Racecheck Athlete-Rated Awards is looming

Did you organise a sporting event that you are proud of in 2019? If so, now is the time to get the kudos it deserves by rallying reviews and ratings from participating athletes.

Peer reviews and recommendations are a key driver in encouraging sign ups and winners of the Racecheck Athlete-Rated Awards in 2018 have reported unprecedented growth on the back of the accolade.

The awards are unique in the industry as they are based soley on ratings and reviews by athletes taking part in the event. Events qualify if they have 30 or more reviews with an average rating of 4.6 or higher. Winning events will be announced after the 16th January 2020.

All qualifying events receive award status and assets to support their marketing campaigns in 2020, including: award badge, certificate and access to a wider marketing campaign revealing the top-rated events to a large audience of endurance athletes.

Furthermore, the top performing events will receive a preferential marketing campaign from Racecheck including a dynamic website widget show casing independent reviews helping convert sign ups.

The power of reviews and ratings

The review and listing website, Racecheck, saw a direct correlation between events listed with reviews and high ratings and a higher click through to book or find more information about the event. An event with 40 or more reviews receives an average of 20% more clicks than events with none.

Athletes care about other athletes’ experiences in this competitive environment of events.

Co-founder of Racecheck, Alex Tanti, explains; “Data from the Trustpilot Study shows that 61% of consumers read online reviews before purchasing and on the flip side 92% have difficulty purchasing with no review. Reviews have an ability to increase both consumer knowledge and brand trust and our platform helps organisers share these independent reviews to drive event credibility and growth.”
