Drinking in the Details: A Poem for Ukraine

пити в деталях: вірш для народу україни

I remember a time
when the only dead body I’d seen
was my parents’ friend Kurt.

I was in fourth grade when he died,
he watched Pee-Wee’s Playhouse with us,
it was an open casket.
You don’t have to look,
but I did it anyway.

All about living as a sex-positive person and parent, body acceptance, what it’s like to be a rad fatty, polyamory, feminism, social justice, divorce, and more. I write to connect and constantly strive to jump into hope with abandon.
