Gratitude Day 8

Local library

I will admit that I was very fortunate during the Pandemic. I didn’t lose anyone close, I lived with my boyfriend for months (he became my husband on Halloween), and with the exception of my mother having to go into medical quarantine, life didn’t change much.

It made me more introspective, more thankful and reminded me of the things that I took for granted. Like my local library. Yes, it had a drop-off/pick-up window, but it wasn’t the same. You couldn’t just go in and browse for free adventure.

I’ve been to my most local library a few times in the last few months. To feel paperbacks in hand. To talk to the librarians and get fantastic suggestions.

I’m really grateful that it’s open again.
