Hart Cunningham’s 10 Racial Equality Initiatives — What are your thoughts?

1 — Shorter Sentences/Maximum 50 Year Prison Sentence
Life sentences are not the answer to our judicial system. Reasoning: For Profit Prisons; pursuit of revenue.

2- Non-Lethal Rounds for Police
Rules of Engagement reform; standardization.

3- Ending “Redlining/ Neighborhood Separation”

4- Assisting African Americans in becoming Homeowners

5 — Tattoo Removal as an Elective Medical Service for All Prisons
Prisoners must be able to have the ability to remove traces of their previous lives. Most Gang tattoos are filled with anger and hatred — their removal symbolizes a voluntary turn away from that life.

6- The “New Dawn” Program
When an American leaves prison, we’ll work with the Peace Corps, State Department..etc., to find a meaningful line of work for dedicated releasees.

7-Ex-Fellons: Non-Welfare Income

8- Cleansing of Criminal Records
Americans taking part in the “New Dawn” program will have their criminal records expunged — as they have shown their dedication to a new life.

9-Education
Emphasis on craft; mental, and self-defense. STEM; Vocational Trade…etc. Dedication to Compton, LA; Chicago; New York; deep in these places — ill neighborhoods. Allowing liberation from this.

10 — One Month Summit in DC.
Providing leaders a platform to talk about the progress of these 10 steps. What’s working? What isn’t? Hart’ll sit down and talk about it.
