12.5-inch screens seem to be popular in the business-oriented notebook market. Lenovo and LG first came out with their 12.5-inch noteboks. Now, Samsung joins the fray with the Series 2, 4 and 6.

Samsung’s Series 2, Series 4 and Series 6 notebook computers are meant for business, with the Series 2 and 4 having 12.5 and 14 inch screens. The Series 6, meanwhile, will come in 14 and 15.6 inch variants.

The Series 2 is the entry-level model among the lot, featuring a Celeron processor, 2 to 4 GB of RAM, 320 GB hard drive and 1366x768 pixel display. Series 4 will feature either a Core i3, i5 or i7 processor, up to 6 GB of RAM and 500 GB hard drive.

Samsung’s new business notebooks will feature anti-shock hard drive designs, spill protection, and will come in magnesium-alloy construction. The more expensive Series 4 and 6 will also come with fingerprint sensors and TPM chips onboard.

Samsung says Series 2 and 4 notebooks will start shipping in the US starting April 2011, while Series 6 will start selling in May. No pricing has been announced to date.
