Spam: Who doesn’t hate it?

I got tagboard-spammed! When I checked my blog this

morning, I got about 200 pieces of spam messages from online casino

outfits.

Actually last week I was also trackback-spammed. My blog got about 300 pieces of spam trackbacks in about half a day.

I’ve temporarily disabled trackbacks and I’m likewise disabling the

tagboard until I get to activate anti-spam measures like the

human-challenge plugin in the comments area.

What do these guys get from spamming my site? Search-engine

optimization? But then that means if someone enters “online

casino” in google, it’s my site that would be moved up in the search

results. Good for my site, but not necessarily good for theirs.
