The Low-End Theory, by A Tribe called Quest

Hip Hop, Rap, Jazzy Hip-Hop, Conscious — 1991

Jazz Jazz We got the Jazz! This album is a good example of structured composing. First, they made a basic framework for drum kick, snare and bass as the baseline and used it with different tempos and breaks which will make you jump in the air. On top of that, they added sampled jazz, funk and rock elements and wrapped it with MC Phife’s rapping to a perfect ear candy. Even from the beginning, they developed a stronger foundation on mixing jazz and hip-hop, which turned most of their songs into hip-hop classics and they ranked 13th on US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Billboard ’91. So don’t miss out the most rated and highly recommended album.
