WETH Migration
The community-wide canonical WETH contract changed to an improved version on January 8th. Radar Relay is now migrating to this new version.
You must switch over to the new WETH in order to continue using Radar. Learn more about what changed and why this migration is necessary.
What Does This Affect?
- Old (deprecated) WETH will need to be unwrapped and rewrapped
- The new WETH will need to be enabled to trade
- Orders placed with the old WETH will need to be replaced using the new WETH
- Forever duration orders placed using the old WETH will need to be canceled
Account Page
To make this process easier we are launching an early version of our Account Page. Included is a “View All Deprecated” tab and an “Unwrap Old WETH” button.

How to Switch to the New WETH
Unwrap your old WETH
Our accounts page will have a button that allows you to unwrap your old WETH. The amount in this field will be locked to the whole amount of old WETH you have in the wallet being used

As this transaction is not necessarily time sensitive, feel free to use the “safeLow” gas price from ETH Gas Station to lower the cost of the transaction. Be aware this may cause your transaction to take 30 minutes or longer to complete.
Wrap your ETH using the new WETH contract
Wrap your ETH as you normally would. Wrapping your ETH on Radar Relay will use the new contract.
Again, use the “safeLow” gas price from ETH Gas Station to lower the cost of the transaction.
Enable WETH
Because the new WETH is a different token than the deprecated WETH, you will need to enable it in order to trade with it.
Replace your orders
Again, because the new WETH is a different token than the previous version, you will have to replace any orders that were previously on our books.
Cancel orders that have forever durations
Orders with an expiration can be left to expire but orders with our old forever order duration should be canceled. This is to prevent someone from filling your order at an unfavorable rate in the future. Learn why we removed forever order durations.
